I think that as Moms we are often overthinking it when we hire someone to capture our family photos. We worry about picking the perfect outfits, the most stunning location, and stress about what time of day to drag the kids out of the house for their session while also getting the best lighting. But what we don't realize is that the most beautiful and precious moments with our kids are simply those little in-between moments. The moments when we are just spending quality time with our children while doing a simple every-day task or chore.

Maybe it's as simple as this baking session I did for this family right in their kitchen in Kewaskum, Wisconsin.

They didn't have to leave their home. They didn't have to have "perfectly" coordinated outfits (mostly because they were going to get full of flour anyways haha). They didn't stress about posing or smiling for the camera.

Sometimes these are the best images. The ones you will end up cherishing forever. The ones that you can share with your kids in the future and say "remember that time we baked banana muffins?".

So just remember... whether you DO want those sweet family photos with coordinated outfits at the beach, or you just want someone to capture pictures of you and kids baking banana muffins in your kitchen...I am here for both. :)
