Typically when people hear headshots, they immediately think of a studio setting with a white back drop and flash photography. But what if I told you that headshot & branding sessions can be done anywhere...even on a rooftop in downtown Milwaukee?
That's right. Your vision for your brand or headshots doesn't have to be confined by four walls! We can create magic just about anywhere!
For example, check out this headshot session I did with Victoria in the Third Ward in downtown Milwaukee!
From the moment Victoria and I first started talking about her headshot session, we knew that her vision was to update her LinkedIn profile photo while also getting some cute updated shots for her socials. The main goal was to create a diverse portfolio of photos that she could use across different platforms and update periodically.
We began by parking in downtown Milwaukee in the third ward and wandered around for a bit to find some cute spots to photograph at. Although "wandering around" sounds counter productive to a professional photo session, it's not. Depending on the time of day your session takes place, I will assess different spots and locations so that we are getting the best lighting and angle for your photos. The photos below are a perfect example of this. Sometimes the locations that may not seem "picture perfect" at the moment will end up creating the perfect backdrop because of the lighting and angle!
Because this headshot session was meant to update professional and personal profiles, Victoria brought along multiple outfit changes. We carried them along with us to the different spots and she simply changed throughout the session with my pop-up portable tent! It's something that I bring along to all sessions that will require outfit changes just incase there aren't any bathrooms or locations close by.
Some of the spots and poses were chosen by Victoria because of her unique vision for her session, while others were chosen by me because of my photography experience. Both of us worked together to create the exact photos she was envisioning for her session and when all was said and done, Victoria received a gallery two weeks later with over 100 photos for her to rotate through for her socials and professional profiles!
